How To Clean Your Butt (and why you really should)
You may have heard of the gut biome, and that there are actually 100 trillion bacteria living in your gut. Some are beneficial and others can be harmful. We are truly walking planets, complete and diverse ecosystems. When we are in balance, the microbes in our gut serve as allies to our health and happiness. They joyfully munch down on the food that we eat, which ensures their survival and allows you to thrive. A byproduct of their activity is creating enzymes to facilitate essential bodily processes and serotonin, to keep you happy and satisfied.
It can be a wonderful, symbiotic relationship. In other words, the microbes are the ones doing the work. They break down our food in a way that makes vitamins and minerals easy to digest. They also bind up waste – which needs to leave the body!
Clean Colon Clear Mind
In this post-industrial world, we are truly out of touch with the natural rhythms of the earth and cosmos. We are disconnected from the needs of our bodies. Processed food, fad diets, pesticides and lab-chemicals, plastics and the overuse of anti-biotics has critically damaged the collective gut biome, creating an opening for viruses, fungus and parasites to take over.
Instead of creating happiness chemicals and healthy mineral packages for your body, these guys create mucus and sludge, leaving you feeling stuck and emotionally unwell. Rather than win-win, the domination and control mechanisms kick in.
These nasty critters high-jack your nervous system and leach your resources. They send signals to your brain via your autonomic nervous system, convincing you to eat more junk food to ensure their survival. It could be that the most devastating empires in the world are actually controlled by the agenda of parasites!
We don’t want to be controlled by critters. We want love and harmony. Mucus, fungus, viruses, parasites and the food that they eat (old, undigested trash hanging around in your colon) simply must go!

Home Enema
Enema’s were once common practice in Western Medicine, but the kits seem to have disappeared from most pharmacies. Fortunately, there are numerous online stores stocking enema kits. I personally like the stainless steel bucket and the silicone enema kit.
You can prepare your enema in a number of ways.
I like coffee enemas, as they stimulate the peristaltic (squeezing) action of the bowels and can also gently detoxify the liver through the hepatic portal vein. I will simply prepare a weak French Press coffee, and dilute with water to 1L. It works best if the liquid is at body temperature. I’ll also add some easy to absorb goodies, such as Chinese herbs and mushroom powders, a few drops of CBD oil and any essential oils that are safe to ingest.
If your adrenals are weak or you find you work better with a gentler approach. Simply prepare your favourite relaxing tea. You can add epsom salts, liquid chlorophyll or essential oils. With some experience, you will be able to tune in to what your body needs and create your own unique recipe.
Once you’ve concocted a fabulous brew, light some candles, burn some incense, put on some music and apply some coconut oil to the tip of the enema and around your anus. This will help the tip to slide into the rectum. Open up the tap while breathing slowly and deeply.
There is a connection between the mouth and the anus. It has been found that concentrated mouth breathing helps to relax the rectum and allow the liquid to flow. If you experience pain and discomfort, do your best to be with it and relax your body with your breath.
Otherwise, you can remove the enema and go to the toilet. Ideally, after your first few enemas, you will be able to hold the full 1L and extend the retention time to 10 minutes. The best time to complete an enema is after your first poop of the morning. When the lower part of the colon is clear, the liquid will flow more comfortably and you’ll be able to clean more of your Large Intestine.
For a professional clean-out, try colonic hydrotherapy
There are professional clinics in most major cities in the world that offer a thorough cleansing of the large intestine. Colonics are a wonderful investment if you are looking to shift 30 years of waste buildup in just a few months. The advantage of colonics over home enemas is the power of the expensive machinery to irrigate and flush out the colon.
It can be enlightening and astonishing to see mucus plaque, worms and undigested food flow through the tube on it’s way to a watery grave. Better out than In! Your hydrotherapist will also be able to analyse your waste and guide you around better nutrition, hydration and usually alkalisation habits.
